Premios Grammy: Kendrick Lamar es el más nominado.

El rapero estadounidense Kendrick Lamar ya puede alzar un trofeo más: el de ser el artista con más nominaciones a una nueva edición de los premios Grammy a celebrarse el próximo 10 de febrero en Nueva York.

Ocho serán las chances de alzarse con la preciada estatuilla musical para nutrir las vitrinas del reciente ganador del premio Pulitzer. Así el artista californiano tendrá un papel protagónico, incluyendo siete nominaciones por su música para la película Pantera Negra, protagonizada por Chadwick Boseman y Michael B. Jordan.

La banda sonora de este filme compite por el premio al álbum del año, en donde las mujeres dicen presente con cinco presencias: Cardi B, Kacey Musgraves, Janelle Monae, H.E.R. y Brandi Carlile también se medirán por el máximo galardón junto con Drake y Post Malone.

Esta nueva edición de los Grammy tendrá la peculiaridad de ampliar la cantidad de nominados en sus cuatro categorías principales. De cinco a ocho nominados.

Luego de Lamar, Drake fue el artista que rankeó con mayor cantidad de nominaciones, siete para ser específico. La sorpresa es que quedó afuera entre los nominados dentro de la categoría de mejor album de rap.

Entre las revelaciones (nuevos artistas) la próxima gala musical tendrá a seis mujeres entre los ocho nominados: H.E.R., Chloe x Halle, Dua Lipa, Margo Price, Bebe Rexha y Jorja Smith. La banda de rock Greta Van Fleet y el cantante country Luke Combs completan esa categoría.
